Materials Required:  Watercolor paint, brush, paper.

Learning Objective:  Children will learn about the force of rain in this experiment rain is used to make a pretty picture.  This is also a fun activity for developing artistic creativity.

Introduction:  Ran can be a creative artist.  The next rany day you have, try this experiment.  Together, youand the rain can make a very unique design.

Step 1:  Using watercolor paint, make a design of colors over the whole paper. It shouldn't be a picture of something just a pretty pattern of colors.  Let it dry

Step 2.  Put it outside in a gentle rain for a little while.  The rain splashing on your picture will change it into a new "rain painting".  You can try several different designs, and try leaving them outside for different periods of time.  No two will ever be the same.

Step 3:  When you bring the painting in from outside, let it dry again.  You'll be amazed atthe interesting pattern that the raindrops made for you.
